Erik is a full professor at Tilburg University and the Academic Director for the executive MSc Information Management and core faculty for the executive MSc IT-audit at TIAS School for Business and Society at Tilburg University – the Netherlands. He lectures Disruptive Technologies at Manchester Business School (MBS) – in-class as well as online lectures. He is also an academic supervisor/coach of the Global MBS Live Business Projects.
Furthermore, Erik has 25 years of international industry and consulting experience. Started career in global infrastructure & application outsourcing at Atos, then moved to Accenture and spent five years within global application outsourcing, performing international business development roles and global delivery management roles. Led global contracting engagements and have advised CXOs in developing and implementing their global (technology) strategy. Let engagements for global corporate clients and that uses global delivery centers in China, India, Brazil and the US. Joined KPMG followed by BCG and Alvarez & Marsal and advised global clients working from many client locations including Indonesia, Russia, Thailand, Switzerland, UK and US. The consulting engagements include digital transformations, benchmarks and audits.
He is the chairman of XBRL the Netherlands (https://nl.xbrl.org) since January 2020 and is also board member of Sourcing Nederland, since 2017 – an association to develop & share learnings in partnering/outsourcing (https://sourcingnederland.nl).
