The last few years, I have had the privilege to work with some of the brightest students of our university. We have made a world-champion solar powered family car, an indoor autonomous drone and organised the first Drone Café. They were all a world’s first.
The common denominator: These projects all used the latest technology to create products that fast-forward us into a new age. We started with a blank piece of paper, full of idea’s and both projects received huge response from world-wide media with items on Discovery Channel, BBC World and thousands of websites that copied the AFP/Reuters coverage on our projects.
I strongly believe technology should be used for the right purposes, not to sell ads or products people don’t need, but to directly challenge the world’s biggest problems. We are not alone, technology is here to give us a hand.
