I am the Chief Innovation & Technology Officer (Group Chief Operating Officer) at ABN AMRO, one of the most stable, profitable and well-capitalized banks in Europe. I work together with the other members of the executive team and 20.000 engaged colleagues to serve our clients and to build a customer-centric bank – a bank that will remain relevant, competitive and impactful for years to come.
In my role as CI&TO and driven by my passion for innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainability I facilitate and lead the evolution of the bank. I am a strong believer in the positive impact of innovation on our customers, employees and society at large. I believe that successful innovation is best achieved in a culture of experimentation, empowerment and accountability. Many innovations raise important ethical and societal dilemmas which must be addressed trough and open dialogue with stakeholders.
